Stress knocks your body off balance. Physiologically, you start to release more stress hormones into your bloodstream (cortisol, adrenaline). Biologically, you start to use up your glucose stores. Mentally, you go into fight-or-flight mode. Your confidence is shaken, you’re not sure if you can do this. Ground yourself in the present moment. Breathe, focus on something you can smell, something you can taste, or something you can see. Allow yourself to relax into your experience and you’ll regain clarity.
