When you put in the effort to learn how your partner likes to be touched and have the initiative to touch them more, you show them that you are sensitive to their needs.


  1. Learn how your partner likes to be touched.
    Pay attention to your partner’s response when you touch them. Are they happier when you rub their back, put your hand on their shoulder as you pour a cup of coffee, hug them before you leave the house, etc.?

  2. Try to touch your partner more.
    Hold your partner’s hand as you walk together. Hug them frequently. Give them random foot massages. These are just some examples of how you can increase the amount of physical touch you give your partner.
