Think before you escape

  1. Next time you feel the urge to flee, to hit the road or bury yourself in work or activity, you need to catch yourself
    Don’t book a cross-country flight—go for a walk instead. Don’t get high—get some solitude, find some quiet.
  2. Have you own “inner room”
Build a place in your imagination where you can go if you want to escape. In this case, you don’t need to go anywhere. You always have everything to retreat to your own inner room.
  3. Build a life that you don’t need to escape from
Instead of running away from it, try to make your life better so you don’t need to escape from it. Improve your friendships, your work-life balance and focus on relaxing as well.
