Structure a great product team

  1. Create a team chart.
    A product team must have different specialists in their position to cover all the needs that may arise. The minimum size for a product team is usually two engineers and a product manager. If the team is responsible for user-facing technology, a product designer is needed, too.

  2. Set daily, monthly, and quarterly goals.
    Meet with the team and ask each member to discuss and write down what they should achieve in your product team.

  3. Ensure your team thoroughly understands how to provide the best value to your customers.
    This is another step that any product team should not skip. The users are the most important: you don't need to be the best for everyone else; you just need to be the best for them. Ensure your product team thoroughly understands the best value they can provide to your customers.

  4. Humanize the work environment.
    Remember that you don't just work with minds; you work with emotions. Make sure you understand your team's motivations, feelings, and concerns. Today's leader advises and accompanies, thus generating an environment of individual contributions, feedback, and accomplishment is very important.
