Stand out from the crowd

Stand out from the crowd

from Letters from a Stoic by Seneca

How to Apply This

  1. Acknowledge that many factors in life are not under our control.
External factors such as weather, traffic, the results of a competition, and to some extent, our health, are not under our influence. Focus your efforts on what you have complete control over - your actions.

  2. Instead of aiming to win or succeed in your actions, prepare to the fullest, practice regularly, and make full use of your skills.
Even if you did all these things and lost, what is the point of being disappointed if you did everything you could? This applies to everything in life.

  3. If you want to find a good partner, make sure you are a good partner. Take care of yourself first, educate yourself, practice, be smart with your finances, and thus, you will increase your chances of meeting a quality person.

  4. If you want to become more sociable, work on your skills and self-confidence.
Read, analyze yourself, take the initiative in social situations, communicate in the physical world, participate in life and give interesting questions to people, study psychology, etc.
