  1. Display your privacy policy in a prominent place both online and offline.
    Your website is a good online place to display your privacy policy.

  2. Understand what Personal Identifiable Information you are collecting and keep a file on how you manage that data.

  3. Make a plan for how you will protect information.
    Include all your third-party vendors under Data Processing Agreements and the places where you are personally responsible for data.

  4. Be prepared to share the Personally Identifiable Information of clients who request it.
    However, you should be able to delete the information completely after sharing it.

  5. Train your team on the privacy practices of your business and how to keep data secured.

  6. Report cases of a data breach.
    According to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) laws, you need to report data breach cases to the impacted individuals and the necessary authorities within 72 hours.
