You have probably heard about the feedback sandwich. Well, it’s working. However, to use it correctly, we need to give attention to details and show our willingness to help.
- Say something positive.
For example, “Congrats for your first try!” It’s good to tell two or three things that they did well.
- Say what the person can improve.
Don’t say what was wrong, but rather focus on positive changes and growth.
- End with a positive emotion.
You can say something like, “Well, as I said, generally, you did great!"
