Learn how to better communicate in an introvert/extrovert relationship

Instructions

  1. For extroverts: Calm yourself down when you feel intense emotions
Take a deep breath, or a 10-minute break. Ask yourself whether this issue is really that important. If it is, think of a good, calm way to phrase it - with your partner’s feelings as your highest priority.

  2. For introverts: Actually communicate how you feel
Instead of suppressing your emotions, let it out! Whether you are angry, sad, hurt, etc, let your partner know.

  3. Brainstorm compromises that would make you both happy
Break the issue down and think about what aspect(s) bother you most, and what bothers you least. Discuss this with your partner and see where you can both compromise and still be happy.
