  1. Set yourself some physical and mental obstacles to overcome
    It is everyone's decision how much discomfort to invite into their lives: Perhaps the time has come to speak to a nutritionist about your diet, to train for that half-a-marathon, or to challenge yourself to read one book per week. You decide.

  2. Take care of yourself as you would a loved one.
    Would it be fairer to always comfort a loved one with lies and unconditional empathy? Or would it be better for them, in the long run, to be urged to be more disciplined?
