Give your partner gifts.

When you put in the effort to give gifts to someone whose primary love language is receiving gifts, they will truly understand how much you love them.

Instructions

  1. Make a list of all the gifts your partner has expressed excitement over receiving.
It doesn’t matter who gave them the gift, as long as they liked it, write it down! The next time you hear your partner express desire for something, write it down too.

  2. Recruit the help of friends or family members who know your partner well.
Ask them to help you come up with gift ideas.

  3. Give them gifts regularly—don’t wait for a special occasion.
If receiving gifts is their primary love language, choose a gift you feel comfortable purchasing, making, or finding and give it to them! You can even give them a parade of small gifts—a box of candy in the morning, flowers in the afternoon, etc. Alternatively, make a donation in their name and give them a card with the details of the donation.
