Focus on your inner accomplishments


  1. Make a list of the accomplishments you already have
    Consider everything you achieved in your life.
  2. Cross out the ones that are dependent on other people
    For example, competition is dependent on others, as well as your career, or your wealth.
  3. Look at the things that are left (if there is any)
    Everything you crossed out has nothing to do with your happiness. So focus on the things that are up to you: your virtues, your satisfaction, and your (lack of) desires.
