Fight your fears.

On the other side of your fear is your freedom; once you overcome your fears, you will easily achieve success.

Instructions

  1. Think about a past fear that you have overcome.
It’s not so scary anymore, is it? Remember, when you look back at old fears from a place of victory, you’ll wonder why you were even scared in the first place. Keep this in mind whenever you feel scared about taking on a new challenge.

  2. Think of a fear you currently have and flip it.
For example, if you are afraid of doing something because you feel others will judge you for it, flip the fear and ask yourself, “How will I feel if I don’t do the thing?” You probably won’t feel very good about yourself, so get up and do it!

  3. Ground yourself in the present moment when you feel fear trying to take over.
Whenever you are afraid of something, take a deep breath and stay in the moment. Is anything bad happening right now, or is it just the thoughts in your head freaking you out? If it’s just your thoughts running amok, keep breathing and remind yourself that things are always scarier in your mind than in reality. This goes double for those late nights when you’re trying to sleep: Shut your mind off, and don’t waste precious time thinking about your problems.
