Instructions

  1. Show curiosity about other people in your day-to-day conversations

  2. Listen fully to the other person instead of thinking about what you want to say

  3. Pay attention to their reactions, both verbal and non-verbal
    This includes facial gestures, body language, tone of voice, and so on.

  4. Mimic their expression and tone of voice
    This is known as mirroring and will help them be more comfortable around you.

  5. Be open to new discoveries.

  6. Think about the other person’s beliefs, values, and emotional triggers
    Ask them to verify your guesses and observe their response - both verbal and non-verbal.
