Use the four-step process to create new habits.

There are four rules in order to establish new habits. All four conditions must be there, otherwise, the habit will not work. The key to successfully create new habits and break bad ones is to clearly understand those rules.


  1. Make it obvious.
    What’s the cue?

  2. Make it attractive.
    What do you crave?

  3. Make it easy.
    Is it easy to do?

  4. Make it satisfying.
    What’s the reward?


Another powerful tool to create habits is to put yourself in environments where the habit you want to automate in yourself is the norm in the environment. For instance people who live in coastal cities tend to be more fit than those who live inland. This is obviously due to the beach lifestyle.
