Use imagination to create a vision of your new self
from Breaking The Habit of Being Yourself: How to Lose Your Mind and Create a New One by Joe Dispenza
How to Apply This
-
Ask yourself the following questions.
- What is the greatest ideal of myself?
Who in history do I admire, and how did they act? Whom do I want to model? How would I talk to others if I changed? How or who do I want to be?
-How would this new person (my ideal) think?
What thoughts do I want to put my energy behind? What is my new attitude? What do I want to believe about myself? How do I want to be perceived?
- How would this new person (my ideal) act?
- How would this new person (my ideal) feel?
How would this new self be? What would my energy be like in this new ideal? -
Clearly define how you will think, act and feel in your new personality based on your answers.
-
Memorize and rehearse your new personality to create your new reality.
Close your eyes and imagine your ‘ideal you.’ What will you say to others and to yourself? How will you walk, and how will you feel if you become that person? Feel it in your body as if you are this person. Keep imagining your ideal self in different scenarios until you’re convinced to believe that a future event is unfolding now.
