Know your signature strengths


  1. Identify your strengths. Take the VIA Strengths Survey online or manually list the 24 strengths on paper: curiosity, love of learning, judgment, ingenuity, social intelligence, perspective, valor, perseverance, integrity, kindness, loving, citizenship, fairness, leadership, self-control, prudence, humility, appreciation of beauty, gratitude, hope, spirituality, forgiveness, humor, and zest. Rank yourself in order of your strengths based on self-reflection and awareness.
  2. Identify your top five strengths. Review your list of strengths and select the five that resonate with you the most. These are your signature strengths—the qualities that come most naturally to you and bring you a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction.
  3. Align your strengths with your daily life. Explore how you can incorporate your signature strengths into various aspects of your daily life. Consider your work, relationships, hobbies, and personal goals. Find opportunities to leverage these strengths and use them intentionally to enhance your experiences. Then, take action!
