Understand and better your emotional patterns.

Focus on finding a solution; don’t focus on the problem. Once you understand why you feel your negative emotions, you are one step closer to not feeling that way any longer.

Instructions

  1. Write down all the emotions you experience in an average week.
Whether they are positive or negative, write them down.

  2. List the common situations that trigger these emotions.
When do you feel each emotion?

  3. Figure out how to stop feeling the negative emotions.
What are the common situations that trigger negative emotions in you? What can you do to stop those negative emotional patterns from arising?
Do you need to change the words you use to describe this experience? Do you need to ask yourself different questions so as to see the situation in a positive light?
