Turn that frown upside down.

Staying upset, angry, frustrated, etc., does not help anyone, least of all you! Once you’re stuck in a negative mood, it’s pretty hard to break out of it, so having a pre-written list of fun activities that will lift your spirits will help tremendously.

Instructions

  1. Make a list of things you can do to change your mood from a negative one to a positive one.
Aim to have 15–25 items on your list at first, and develop it over time. Good examples of these activities are playing music, exercising, reading, etc.
  2. The next time you’re feeling down, do something from your list.
Whenever you feel irritated, angry, or any sort of negative emotion, pick an activity from your list and do it.
