Think about alternative solutions

Instructions

  1. When you are faced with a life problem, think about “this and that” instead of “this or that.”
Widen your option of choices by reminding yourself that there is more than one solution to your problem.

  2. Write down different solutions for your problem.
For example, at managing stress, we could write things like: quit a job; go to half-time; find a less stressful job; find some way to release stress before getting home, etc.

  3. Evaluate your solutions deeply, and find the best one.
Maybe quitting your job isn’t the best option because you need your salary to maintain your lifestyle. In this case, choose another option that would be best for you.
