Take steps to improve your life.
from 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos by Jordan B. Peterson
When you adopt an attitude of “I can and will do something about my problems”, you will be able to solve them and be all the happier for it.
How to Apply This
-
Remove bitterness and resentment from your life.
For example, if you dislike your job, instead of focusing on that dislike, think about what you could do to make your life better. Then, start working on it. -
Pay attention to your physical and psychological surroundings.
Ask yourself the following three questions: “What is it that is bothering me?” “Is that something I could fix?” and “Would I actually be willing to fix it?” If you find that the answer is no to any or all of the questions, aim a little lower. Search until you find something that you can and will fix, then fix it.
