Overcome your sense of entitlement


  1. Stop being so self-centered. Understand how your sense of entitlement affects you and those around you. Then think of ways to let go of your sense of entitlement. After all, the world doesn't owe you anything.
  2. Pause and think about how other people feel. Instead of focusing on what you think you deserve in life, take time to think about how other people may feel. Increasing empathy for others can reduce your exaggerated sense of self-importance.
