Show empathy when dealing with others.

Showing empathy will help you develop an awareness, as well as a sense of respect, for the other person’s feelings. This understanding will go a long way in reducing conflict, as you will now be more receptive to what the other person is trying to do or say.

Having empathy for others will also help you improve any interpersonal relationships you have—whether romantic, platonic, familial, etc.

  1. Put yourself in the other person’s shoes.
