Seeking Wisdom
Life philosophy
Set your attitude correctively.

Set your attitude correctively.

from Seeking Wisdom: From Darwin To Munger by Peter Bevelin

How to Apply This

  1. Be honest.
Act honorably. Tell the truth. Act with integrity and individuality. Why is integrity the real freedom? Because if we have nothing to hide, we have nothing to fear.

  2. Be a good example.
Observe what signals you send out.

  3. Treat people fairly.
Be nice to people and if they are not nice to you - don't be nasty - just avoid them in the future.

  4. Take life easily.
Have perspective. When we fail, we should view it as a learning experience. Have a positive attitude.

  5. Have reasonable expectations.
If we don't hope for much, reality often beats our expectations. We are often disappointed if we always expect the best or have unreal expectations.

  6. Live in the present.
Often we tend to emphasize the destination so much that we miss the journey. Stay in the present and enjoy life today.

  7. Be curious and open-minded. Always ask, "why?"
A child is curious and asks, "why?" As grown-ups, we seem to forget the "whys" and accept what others say.
