  1. Set a clear limit for how much more negativity you will take before you put your foot down.
    When you find yourself wondering why you put up with all the negativity and other bad things life has sent your way, simply stop putting up with it. Set a limit for how much you will tolerate, and do not allow any extra negativity to enter your life.

  2. Understand why you settle for less.
    What are you worried about, and how much does whatever you’re worrying about mean to you? Set a “stop-loss” order on this worry.

  3. Think about whether you have already settled for less.
    Consider the true consequences of doing so.
