Instructions

  1. Create a sanctuary space in your home, or choose a spot in your neighborhood where you can go to experience peace and relaxation.
    Spend time here daily or weekly to bring yourself back to balance.

  2. Gaze upon things larger than yourself, like nature and the night sky.
    Do this whenever you need to be freed from the concerns of everyday life, and reminded of your place in the universe.

  3. Dedicate yourself to a passion or a craft that you love.
    Choose a sport, creative pursuit, or other activity that enriches your life and nourishes your soul, and make time for it weekly.

  4. Use humor to lighten the load of life.
    Spend time with people who make you laugh or watch a comedy show that tickles you.

  5. Take a vacation from work at least once a year, if not more often.
    If you can, unplug completely and focus only on recharging.
