When you delete unnecessary apps on your phone, you will be able to spend more time working towards your goals and using the time you spend on other apps more wisely. 

Instructions

  1. Identify the apps that you should use.
    Find apps that support your values and goals. 
  2. Narrow down the apps that you should use.
    If you have a few apps that support the same goals and values, delete the app with the most extra distractions. 
  3. Optimize the apps that you choose.
    For example, if you have a habit of keeping up to date on the news, use an app that provides you with news instead of a social media account where you get your news along with other unnecessary information. This reduces the amount of time you spend on your phone.
  4. Find ways to limit the amount of screen time you use.
    Be creative in limiting the amount of screen time you consume. For example, delete social media apps on your phone so that you only use them on a computer. Or choose to only stream movies or TV series with a friend to help prevent binging.
  5. Be committed to adopting a minimalist lifestyle.
    Only by being committed will you be able to reap the full benefit of being a minimalist. And only by being satisfied with what you do will you be able to commit to the minimalist lifestyle fully.
