Question everything until you reach the fundamentals

Instructions

  1. Go beyond the constraints of the past.
When we are looking to do something, we always try to copy what has been done before. However, we must sometimes come up with an original way of doing things to succeed.
  2. Use “Occam's Razor.”
This expression implies that the simplest solution to a problem is usually the correct one, and you need to eliminate the insignificant details. This can be used in many contexts, such as a business idea, a job resume, or an invention. Keep it simple!
  3. Go against the invisible rules.
We let invisible rules guide our decisions and our ability to grow. Start challenging the unspoken rules. For example, asking for that raise you don’t think you deserve or applying for a job you don’t think you’ll ever get.
  4. Practice the “kill the company exercise.”
This means thinking like your enemies or competitors. For example, a company CEO asked his employees to think of ways to ruin the company and ways to respond to what they found. For your personal life, you could think about why you could be fired from your job and what you can do to prevent that.
