Practice START as you take action on your idea

Instructions

  1. Be In service.
Consider how you can serve people with your idea. Look for ways to do it for free. Dedicate your work and future success to someone you love. Look for the next action that would improve the quality of someone’s life.
  2. Say, “Thank you!” more often.
Practice saying the words “thank you” as often as possible throughout the day to experiences, people, and things you are grateful for.
  3. Practice mission matching.
Do research on anyone you are asking something from for your business. Create an offer based on their interests that would make them say yes.
  4. Practice receiving.
Receive gratefully. Return a warm reception and offer sincere appreciation to the giver. Receive graciously. Show dignity, esteem, and respect for the giver, no matter the gift. Receive gracefully. Be humble by recognizing and remembering that it was by another’s hand (not your own) that you received.
  5. Take a personal inventory about trusting yourself.
Do you keep commitments to yourself and others? Do you keep the trust that has been placed in you? Do you put in an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay? Make the adjustments necessary to increase your trustworthiness.
