Practice self-love

Instructions

  1. Overcome self-criticism.
Every time a self-critical thought comes to you, dismiss it and say, "Enough with this." Instead of criticizing yourself, give yourself support. For example, if you did something poorly, say, "I did this well with the knowledge I have, but I will improve my skills over time and become better at this."

  2. Accept and love yourself.
Stand in front of the mirror and say: "I love you and accept you exactly as you are." and “I agree with who I am." Write down all the reasons you love yourself. Read them repeatedly three to four times a day for one month. If you come across a negative thought like "How can I love myself when I'm this fat?" remind yourself that it's just self-criticism and ignore it.

  3. Choose motivating thoughts.
Choose thoughts that make you happy and fill your soul. Do what makes you happy and hang out with people who make you feel good.

  4. Create positive affirmations to create a better reality.
Create a list of everything "wrong" with you and the things you want to change, then pick three sentences and transform them into positive affirmations. For example, turning the sentence "I hate my job" into "I'm happy with my job" or "I need to lose weight" into "My body is attractive the way it is." Practice positive affirmations daily by writing them down 20 times, saying them aloud, or even singing them!

  5. Believe you deserve good things.
Stand in front of the mirror and repeat, “I deserve to have/be______, and I accept that now.”
