Practice self-compassion

Instructions

  1. Say positive affirmations to yourself.
    You can say, “I am experiencing pain. I am not alone. I need to be gentle with myself.”

  2. Give empathy to yourself by picturing someone struggling with the same issue as you are.
    Picture yourself as your friend or someone facing a similar issue. Think about what you would say and how you would empathize with them. Consider placing your hand on your stomach or chest to recognize and empathize with your internal discomfort.
