Practice Loving-Kindness Meditation


  1. Meditate. 
    Sit in a comfortable position. Notice your breathing and focus your attention on your heart. Visualize your breathing coming in and out of this area. Try picturing a beam of calming light shining directly into this area. 
  2. Bless yourself as you breathe from your heart’s center. 
    You can use phrases such as, “May I experience God’s love.”, “May I experience God’s peace.” and “May I experience God’s compassion.” Adapt the phrases as per your preference. 
  3. Bless your close ones. 
    You can recite the same phrases you used for yourself, but remember to use their name.  
  4. Extend the same blessing to everyone.
    You can use phrases like, “May all creation experience God's love.” or “May all creation experience God’s compassion.”
