Practice conscious parenting to increase connections.
Children who are fully listened to feel loved, recognized, and valued. Being completely present increases the family’s connection, understanding, and enjoyment.
- Identify the types of attention you give your child: form-based or formless.
Form-based attention is always connected with doing or evaluating. “Tidy up your room. Do this. Stop that. Hurry up.” Formless attention is being completely present.
- Practice being alert, still, and completely present as you interact with your child.
Be completely present, not wanting anything other than that moment as it is.
