Play the “Name Game” to remember names

from Improve Your Social Skills by Daniel Wendler

How to Apply This

  1. Get the names of others within the first few minutes of the conversation.
Ask for their names directly or introduce yourself, so they can introduce themselves too.

  2. Make their name memorable.
You can use an adjective that starts with the same letter as the name. For example, Cool Carl or Dan the Man.

  3. Lock their name in your memory.
Repeat their name mentally a few times during your conversation with them.
