You can use this technique to eliminate negative feelings about anything: past or current situations, people around you, etc.

Instructions

  1. View the negative situation as if you are in a movie.
    Imagine it as a cartoon. You can add calliope or circus music. You can play it in fast forward or rewind it. Make it increasingly funny and absurd.
  2. Note how the event loses its negative power.
    Now that you are relaxed, think of the situation again. It probably doesn’t seem as bad.
