Pay attention to everything you think of as yourself just before you fall asleep.

This exercise will help you to find the experience beyond your five senses. To find your real “self.”


  1. Pay attention to your thoughts, your emotions, your hair, and your skin.
    Know that none of this is you.

  2. Look for the “self” within you.
    You will not find it by reading, thinking, or talking. Don’t try to create a conclusion of what the “self” really is. The self is not a conclusion.

  3. Try to enter sleep with this awareness.
    When you sleep, your five senses sleep as well. So, when you have this awareness, it will grow into a powerful experience.
