    For example, “I’m here for you” or “let me know if you need anything”.

  3. Follow-up on significant problems.
    For example, call a friend going through a marital crisis to check on them.

  4. Educate yourself.
    Do homework on your friend’s struggles and make suggestions on the best places or methods to get help.
