Motivate yourself to achieve your long term goals one step at a time

Instructions

  1. Dream big
You can’t succeed in life if you do not dream big and pursue the dream.

  2. Set a huge goal.
Your goal could be anything. For example, to get a college degree, start eating healthy, start volunteering regularly, become a better parent or learn a foreign language.

  3. Commit to your goal.
For example, learn new skills that can enable you to achieve your goal.

  4. Create a process that ensures you can reach your goal.
Set deadlines for daily or periodic tasks that can help you achieve your goals.

  5. Work on the process.
Be more concerned about achieving your daily or periodic tasks instead of always worrying about the big goal. For example, if your big goal is to learn a foreign language, you need to focus more on your periodic targets such as learning the alphabet, learning how to spell and learning how to punctuate.
