Manage your thoughts and beliefs

Instructions

  1. Check your cognitive biases.
Check if your thinking is not conditioned by cognitive bases such as confirmation, projection, extrapolation, anchoring, etc.
  2. Deal with irrational thoughts.
Once you feel upset because of your irrational thoughts, list all the facts about your reality. Use this to find the difference between what's happening right now and what you're thinking about. If you feel something is wrong with you, remember that everyone has unsettling thoughts that have no connection to reality.
  3. Believe that upsetting thoughts are not the truth.
List the things you've thought about and worried about that turned out to be false.
  4. Change the way you think about your life.
Instead of just thinking about it, go out and live your life. Celebrate your triumphs and enjoy everything you've accomplished. Instead of complaining about your problems, concentrate on finding solutions. Don't wait for inspiration—act now. Finally, don't stress about reaching the end result; enjoy each step along the way.
