Any topic can be turned into a profitable business, even one as boring as accounting. When you are an expert in the field, other people will like listening to you. 

Starting your personal brand is easier than you think. But when you first start, you will need to work hard because it will take time to build an audience.

  1. Buy a domain with the extensions .com and .tv.
    The best option would include your name, for example, robertsmith.com. However, you can be more creative and get something like BobtheBudgetMan.tv.
  2. Set up an account on WordPress or another blog hosting service.
    Then connect your domain to your newly created blog.
  3. Get a web designer.
    The original design of your blog/website is an extremely important element. If you cannot afford a web designer, just use a free template.
  4. Open accounts on social media.
    These will be on Facebook, Twitter, and others, depending on what you are doing.
  5. Create and publish great content with high value to the readers.
    Find a way to incorporate personal stories.
  6. Promote your content on social media.
    Search for similar stuff on Twitter, Facebook, and blogs; write comments; connect with groups about your subject; etc.
  7. Repeat the two previous steps over and over again.
    This is a marathon, not a sprint. You need time.
