Make Room Every Week for Real-World Risk and Adventure

Instructions

  1. Block out time for daily free play outdoors. Set aside at least 30–60 minutes a day where your child can roam, create, and play freely with peers.

  2. Encourage group play with minimal adult intervention. Assist only for genuine emergencies—let kids resolve disputes or invent their own games.

  3. Expose children to manageable physical risks. Support climbing, exploring, and experimenting with reasonable risk, providing an environment where minor bruises, not major harm, are possible.
