Instructions

  1. Ask yourself, “Do I want to be happy?”
    Do you want to be unconditionally happy? If yes, commit to unconditional happiness. Anytime unhappiness begins to rear its head, notice it and let it go. Use affirmations or whatever you have to do to allow it to pass. Don’t close your heart.
  2. Consider what you’re capable of achieving.
    Where in your life have you been experiencing resistance? What has it been holding you back from? If it wasn’t holding you back anymore, what could you achieve? Journal through these questions, and allow them to encourage you on the path of nonresistance.
  3. Contemplate your moment of death.
    Think daily about how you would live that day if you were to die tomorrow. How would you parent your kids? Love your spouse? Treat your coworkers? Would you enjoy the simple things of life with deeper appreciation? Start living this way now.
  4. Find the middle way.
    Examine your life for where you are fluctuating between extremes. Identify the middle path and seek to walk along the dynamic equilibrium of the Tao.
  5. Meditate.
    Consistent meditation practice will enable you to take the seat of consciousness (the witness) and connect you with the spirit. The mindfulness developed through meditation will also help you be aware of the shifts in energy you experience throughout the day, giving you the opportunity to release disturbed energies and practice nonresistance.
