Instructions

  1. Reflect on whether you seek approval from others
    Think about how you would behave differently if you weren’t trying to seek recognition from others.

  2. Try to meet your own expectations, not other people’s
    Discard other people’s expectations of yourself and only focus on your own. Make a list of these expectations and stick it on your wall or fridge.

  3. Do your own tasks
    Whenever you need to do a task, ask yourself whether it is truly yours. If it isn’t, discard it.

  4. Help others with their tasks only if they ask for help
    Help them if you can and only if it won’t result in your own discomfort.
