Learn public speaking: practice until it’s perfect.

A lot of celebrities, such as Jerry Seinfeld and Steve Jobs, practiced their presentations until they became perfect.

Instructions

  1. Practice it until every bone in your body feels it.

  2. It is good to have your speech audiotaped or even videotaped.
Watch it again, and count any irritants—all unnecessary sounds and movements that do not add anything to the message.

  3. If you’ve been videotaped, ask three people to point out all the unnecessary gestures.
Do the same with audio by pointing out all unnecessary sounds.

  4. You can practice with a smaller audience first.
Practicing with an audience is completely different than recording yourself. So, if you’re preparing for something bigger, consider it.
