Learn public speaking: practice until it’s perfect.
A lot of celebrities, such as Jerry Seinfeld and Steve Jobs, practiced their presentations until they became perfect.
Instructions
-
Practice it until every bone in your body feels it.
-
It is good to have your speech audiotaped or even videotaped.
Watch it again, and count any irritants—all unnecessary sounds and movements that do not add anything to the message.
-
If you’ve been videotaped, ask three people to point out all the unnecessary gestures.
Do the same with audio by pointing out all unnecessary sounds.
-
You can practice with a smaller audience first.
Practicing with an audience is completely different than recording yourself. So, if you’re preparing for something bigger, consider it.
