Store the items you do need.

Designate a storage space for each person who lives in the house, and it will be a lot easier for everyone to find what they need when they need it. Storing things side by side achieves this goal too—items are much easier to take out when they are kept side by side and not on top of each other. Plus, you’ll be able to see each and every item in your storage area so you can quickly identify what you need.

Instructions

  1. Designate a storage space for each person in the house and keep it simple.
Instead of scattering multiple storage bins around your house, use your closet as a storage space. If you’ve thoroughly discarded your unnecessary items, you will have the space to store a lot more than your clothes in there!
Ensure each person in the house has their own storage space.
  2. Designate a storage space for every item that you own.
For example, have a laundry basket for your dirty clothes, a box for your receipts, a coat rack for your handbags and/or jackets, etc. Make sure you always return your items to their designated storage space.
  3. Store things side by side and not stacked on top of each other.
