    Moving through struggle requires a leap of faith that the effort will soon pay off.

    If you’ve been cramming for a test all day, go for a walk. If the innovation team has been pulling all-nighters for a week, send them out for dinner and a movie. The method is unimportant. The message is relaxation.
  3. Prepare to feel a bit unpleasant.
    Recovery, like the struggle, is a difficult cycle step. Confronting the massive gap between the world-at-your-feet sensation of flow and the subsequent mundane, all-too-human reality isn't always fun. It requires a lot of resilience.
