Get things done

Instructions

  1. Do the quickest task first.
When you have lots of things to get done in a day or week, it’s better to start with quick tasks. These mini-accomplishments will give you the motivation you need to finish your to-do list an optimal time.

  2. Divide the weight of each task by how long it will take to finish.
Decide how it will take you to achieve every task, then work in order from the highest resulting importance-per-unit-time to the lowest. This should be the order of your to-do list.

  3. Prioritize a task that takes twice as long if it’s twice as important.
If you have a project which has an inevitable due date and it’s evidently more important than doing laundry, obviously start with the work obligation.
