Form your million-dollar squad

Instructions

  1. Identify your million-dollar squad criteria.
Before welcoming someone to your squad or joining a community, evaluate them first: Do they consistently bring you wealth, energy, power, peace, and joy? Do they bring you financial riches (client referrals, job leads, etc.)? Are they great sources of your emotional wealth (for example, they motivate you or make you believe you can accomplish anything)? Will they help you reach your goals? Do you think you can provide value to that person?
  2. Join new communities.
Identify communities with values, lifestyles, and personalities that match your own. Attend live events where the people you want to meet will be present, and get involved in communities where you can be yourself. Once you find such a community, build meaningful relationships with your fellow members.
  3. Reconnect with a community you’re already in.
Communicating with old friends and colleagues is a great way to reconnect. If you want to connect with someone important to you, don’t just say, “Hey, thinking of you,” instead, say, “I mentioned you on my podcast,” “I nominated you for an award,” “I referred a client to you,” or “I sent you a gift via mail.” You will make lifelong friends if you are generous and can create small miracles for others.
  4. Create your own community.
You can create the community you want if it does not exist yet. After choosing a name and deciding what your community is about, you can begin inviting people who you want to connect with. Make sure people know what they can gain from it.
