Instructions

  1. Tell yourself that, “just for today,” you will be happy.
    Recognize that happiness is from within, and you can be happy in any situation, no matter how rotten.
  2. Tell yourself that, “just for today,” you will adjust and adapt to anything that comes your way.
    Don’t try to change external factors.
  3. Tell yourself that, “just for today,” you will take care of your body.
    Be sure to exercise and eat healthy.
  4. Tell yourself that, “just for today,” you will strengthen your mind.
    Read a book or learn something new.
  5. Tell yourself that, “just for today,” you will exercise your soul.
    Do a good deed for someone and do at least two things you don’t want to do.
  6. Tell yourself that, “just for today,” you will be agreeable, polite, and courteous.
    Don’t let your anger get the best of you!
  7. Tell yourself that, “just for today,” you will live through the day.
    Don’t try to tackle your whole life problem.
  8. Tell yourself that, “just for today,” you will establish a schedule.
    Be sure to follow through on it.
  9. Tell yourself that, “just for today,” you will set 30 minutes aside.
    Use this time to relax and recuperate.
  10. Tell yourself that, “just for today,” you will be unafraid.
    And do it!
