Instructions

  1. Live with no regrets
    Accept that some things are out of your control - learn from them if you can, and move on. Every year, schedule a time to reflect on yourself and set new goals, or update existing ones. Be honest with yourself and do what you need to do.

  2. Enjoy the ride
    Live in the present moment, let go of the past, and stop waiting for the future. It’s natural to want more, but if you focus on the present, you’ll enjoy what you have right now.

  3. Regain control of your happiness
    Paste positive notes or happy pictures with reminders to smile around your house - your bathroom mirror, fridge, etc. Write down what you need to do to be happy every day, every other day, every week, every month, every quarter, and every year. Then, do it.

  4. Find your happy place
    Where is a place that always brings happiness to you? It could be the beach, the highlands, a favorite restaurant, etc. Remind yourself of this place whenever you need a happiness boost.

  5. Compete with yourself, and only yourself
    Make the best use of your strengths and acknowledge that others are doing the same. Don’t waste your time judging others, focus on what you can do instead.

  6. Practice gratitude
    Keep a gratitude journal where you write down all that you’re grateful for, volunteer to help the less fortunate, and remind yourself not to complain.
